Beekeeping Class

Bees play a vital role in pollinating flowering plants. Bees ensure that our crops (cucumbers, beans, eggplants, etc) are pollinated and produce vegetables and fruits. Bees gather nectar or pollen depending on what they are producing in the hive. Organic food grower and bee keeping go hand in hand. It is estimated that one third of the human food supply depends on insect pollination, most of which is accomplished by bees, especially the domesticated European honey bee.

Every year the San Marcos Bee Wranglers offer a free, 4 session, beekeeping class.
