Drought Mitigation Workshops for Texas Farmers

Holistic Management International Texas (HMI) with support from Farm Aid is offering drought mitigation workshops to Texas farmers in 2010. Workshops are presented by Walt Davis, an engaging presenter with years of experience to share with his audience. Each workshop will be tailored to the region in which it is presented so landowners near each location are encouraged to attend, as the materials will be designed just for them.

HMI and TOFGA have a healthy history of working together to support Texas farmers and ranchers.  Please visit HMI’s web site and sign up for a workshop in your area.  Scholarships are available through Farm Aid for qualified participants.

I’ll keep an eye out for these workshops. I am not a member; I live in Australia and work as an agricultural scientist here. Drought is something we have been dealing with for decades as we going through the worst drought in the last 100 years. Very interested.
