Another reason to abandon the hijacked 'USDA Certified Organic' label and just deal with your customers and suppliers one on one. Produce the product that your customer wants rather than what some bureaucratic government agency directed by lawyers decides.

People like him should be apprehended. They don't realize the value of growing things organically and its good effects on people and the environment. For them, it's just a 'trend' and they're just in for the profit. Few people reliaze that organic gardening is not just a trend, it's a lifestyle. and a healthy one at that.

cheers,
Nova @ organic home garden

I'll keep an eye out for these workshops. I am not a member; I live in Australia and work as an agricultural scientist here. Drought is something we have been dealing with for decades as we going through the worst drought in the last 100 years. Very interested.

Hi Susan,

Thank you for your feedback. I believe this was a special session to discuss the recent 2010 conference while the experience was fresh in everyone's mind to help plan for the 2011 conference. The agenda was posted as soon as it was formalized. The new board is going to have its first regular business meeting February 25, 2010 6:30-8:30 pm. You can find the details here.

I know the board is very concerned about being open and transparent. The audio file from the meeting will be posted shortly. We'll continue to post meeting times and agendas as soon as we have them.

When was this posted? Thought that there had to be 30 days lead time for board meeting notification to ensure that members were aware of them? This was not on the website on Feb 17th when it was checked so obviously the lead time was missed. How are members supposed to know what is happening, go to the website daily? Suggest sending an email notification to members to resolve this kind of situation.
