Rainwater Catchment Workshop

Saturday, May 26th from 9am – 3pm at the World Hunger Relief Farm

356 Spring Lake Road, Waco

Rainwater catchment systems allow us to conserve and retain water from our spring surpluses and utilize it during those extended summer droughts.

Come get hands-on experience learning how to design and install rainwater catchment systems for both home and agricultural use. The workshop will start with a presentation by the highly lauded Billy Kniffern, Water Resource Associate in the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service (and much more), its components, calculations for storage requirements, and other considerations. The workshop will then go over and install two systems, and conclude with participants building their own rainwater catchment barrel.

Also included in the workshop are a

  • -       Farm fresh lunch from the World Hunger Relief Farm
  • -       Your own rain barrel to take home

Space is limited; reserve your spot today.
