This set of three sessions is geared toward supporting our small, local food entrepreneurs. Who should attend: Makers, Bakers and ALL types of GROWers. Market Gardeners, Small Farmers or any grower interested in direct-to-consumer sales will benefit.

10am-11:45am: Session 1 – Susie Marshall Food Safety Modernization Act basics - grower exemptions and on-farm food safety plans
11:45-1:30: Lunch Break-Lunch will not be provided Please let us know if you would like to be included in a lunch reservation we will be making reservations for a nice networking lunch at a local restaurant – Dutch pay – Location TBD
1:45-3:45: Session 2 – Growing Food in South Texas – NCAT Southwest Soil health and resilience in a changing climate (drought, flood, wind)
4:00-5:30: Session 3 – Direct To Consumer Marketing – GROW Local South Texas Point of Sales Booth, Direct to Restaurant and Grocer Product Quality, Digital Media Marketing
