Saturday 1/28 - Profiting from Pastured Animals at Windy Meadows Farm- no cost 
This 2-day workshop will provide classroom and on-farm learning covering a wide range of business, financial, marketing, and regulatory issues to help farmers directly market meat and other animal products. Topics covered include market analysis, financial considerations, marketing techniques, regulatory issues, and options for managing sales and distribution. The event will be at Windy Meadows Farm in Campbell, TX, approximately 1 hour from the conference location. 

Saturday 1/28- Beginning Farmer Workshop at Owenwood Farm and Neighbor Space - $20, 1PM
Are you thinking about farming? Planning your farm? Or just started farming? Come join us for an interactive afternoon of learning and discussion. Topics covered will include farm business management, crop planning, record keeping, basic regulations for direct marketing farms, and programs that can help support your farm. Sunday 1/29– Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) @ Conundrum Farm, Crowley- $20, 10:00AM
Learn about F.A.R.M.’s programming for dirt therapy and farmer training at this unique collaborative project, located adjacent to a prairie restoration project. They are located at 5532 Rocky Creek Park Rd, Crowley, TX 76036.

Sunday 1/29 - Joppy Momma’s Farm, Dallas- $20, 2:00 PM
This start-up community farm is located in an historic Freedman’s community just south of Downtown Dallas. Farmer Kim High has plans to empower the wellness of the community her grandmother lived in for decades. They are located at 7724 Carbondale St, Dallas, TX 75216.

Sunday 1/29- Small Farm Tractor & Equipment Maintenance- $50, 10:00 AM
New to managing tractors and equipment? This session will help you learn the basics from experienced folks. This is a full day class that includes lunch. The workshop will be held at Owenwood Farm & Neighbor Space located at 1451 John West Rd, Dallas, TX 75228.

Sunday 1/29- News Media Training for Farmers- 1pm - FREE (sponsored by TCLFLearn from experienced journalists and farmers Erin Flynn & Skip Connett about how to build media relations, prepare for an interview, develop and deliver key messages, and optimize the impact of your media coverage. At Conference site. 

Sunday 1/29- Food Safety Plan Writing- 1pm -$20Are you faced with needing a food safety plan for your farm project? Join NYFC Food Safety Fellow and farmer Lorig Hawkins to break down this task into manageable pieces that come together as a plan appropriate for your farm. Virtual event rescheduled for the following weekend. To register for a pre-conference workshop and the TOFGA conference, for the registration page and follow the form. The pre-conference workshop will be a selection to add onto your conference registration.

To register for only the pre-conference workshop **You will need to select the "Pre-conference workshops Only" option which is down toward the bottom of the registration types. The workshop you want will be an option in the list of pre-conference workshops, be sure to select the correct option as you move through the form.
