Come watch, learn, and offer hands-on help as a USDA NRCS EQUIP-funded Atlas

Greenhouse 30' x 96' high tunnel is built from the ground up.

Adam Cohen of Green Phoenix Farm will lead the installation and provide some

helpful growing tips. Justin Duncan of NCAT will provide information on growing strawberries,

specifically in a high tunnel. We're also inviting our local NRCS agent and a representative from

Austin Foodshed Investors to explain how the EQUIP program works and how a bridge loan

can help you make this important tool work for you and your farm. Complementary lunch

included.

  • Day One - the critical part - sight selection, layout, high tunnel selection, equipment check in, post setting, NRCS programs including EQUIP High Tunnel contract
  • Day Two - begin erecting hoops, sides, end walls, doors, side rollup assembly, down payment financing discussion
  • Day Three - final assembly, skin and shade cloth, strawberry soil preparation, variety selection, wrap up
  • If needed, a 4th day will be offered at no charge.
