Education

We believe farmers learn best from their peers. TOFGA's work supports peer-to-peer practical education and builds a community of support where farmers can learn from other farmers through shared experiences and a shared sense of belonging. We share educational resources digitally through our monthly newsletter, social media, and website, and face-to-face at regional events around Texas and at our signature TOFGA conference (32 years and counting!)

Networking

We want anyone growing for their communities in Texas, at any scale, to have a home in TOFGA.  TOFGA is a place where land stewards and food system advocates can connect with each other and the organizations that can support their work. TOFGA brings people together at our conference and regional gatherings with both educational content and playful opportunities to build friendships through seed swaps, trivia nights, and more.

Advocacy

TOFGA supports local, state, and federal level advocacy for policies that promote thriving agricultural businesses for Texas producers at the foundation of healthy communities and healthy environments. We believe that the stories and lived experiences of TOFGA members across the state are a powerful force for meaningful policy change.

TOFGA Conference Archives

TOFGA's annual conference brings together seasoned veteran organic farmers, ranchers, dairyman, and other food and fiber producers, along with consumers, advocates, students, and new farmers and gardeners. Conference includes workshops, lectures, panels, discussions, and socializing - not to mention some great organic and sustainably grown food.
